ON MONDAY, June 28, 2021 guest host Araceli Gómez-Aldana (news producer and reporter at WBEZ in Chicago) moderated WTTW’s Latino Voices Community Conversation. The conversation featured Antonio Santos, co-founder and director of the Gage Park Latinx Council; Maya Lozano, board member of the TransLatin@ Coalition; Julio Rodriguez, Board President of the Association of Latino Men for Action; and Zenaida Lopez, Associate Director of El Rescate, a transitional living program at the Puerto Rican Cultural Center Chicago. The conversation shed a light on Latinx LGBTQ+ history in Chicago and beyond: the power they hold and community leaders
making an impact today.
